	1Samuel 12
1Samuel 12:1	And Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a king over you.
1Samuel 12:2	And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day.
1Samuel 12:3	Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
1Samuel 12:4	And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man’s hand.
1Samuel 12:5	And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
1Samuel 12:6	And Samuel said unto the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
1Samuel 12:7	Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.
1Samuel 12:8	When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.
1Samuel 12:9	And when they forgat the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.
1Samuel 12:10	And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.
1Samuel 12:11	And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and ye dwelled safe.
1Samuel 12:12	And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king.
1Samuel 12:13	Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.
1Samuel 12:14	If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
1Samuel 12:15	But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
1Samuel 12:16	Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
1Samuel 12:17	Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
1Samuel 12:18	So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
1Samuel 12:19	And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
1Samuel 12:20	And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;
1Samuel 12:21	And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
1Samuel 12:22	For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
1Samuel 12:23	Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
1Samuel 12:24	Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you.
1Samuel 12:25	But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.

	Proverbs 6
Proverbs 6:1	My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,
Proverbs 6:2	Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
Proverbs 6:3	Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
Proverbs 6:4	Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.
Proverbs 6:5	Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Proverbs 6:6	Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Proverbs 6:7	Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Proverbs 6:8	Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:9	How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Proverbs 6:10	Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Proverbs 6:11	So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 6:12	A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
Proverbs 6:13	He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
Proverbs 6:14	Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Proverbs 6:15	Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
Proverbs 6:16	These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Proverbs 6:17	A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Proverbs 6:18	An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Proverbs 6:19	A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:20	My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Proverbs 6:21	Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
Proverbs 6:22	When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Proverbs 6:23	For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Proverbs 6:24	To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
Proverbs 6:25	Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Proverbs 6:26	For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
Proverbs 6:27	Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Proverbs 6:28	Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
Proverbs 6:29	So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
Proverbs 6:30	Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
Proverbs 6:31	But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
Proverbs 6:32	But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
Proverbs 6:33	A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Proverbs 6:34	For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
Proverbs 6:35	He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

	1Corinthians 1
1Corinthians 1:1	Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
1Corinthians 1:2	Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
1Corinthians 1:3	Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Corinthians 1:4	I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
1Corinthians 1:5	That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
1Corinthians 1:6	Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1Corinthians 1:7	So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Corinthians 1:8	Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Corinthians 1:9	God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Corinthians 1:10	Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1Corinthians 1:11	For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
1Corinthians 1:12	Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
1Corinthians 1:13	Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
1Corinthians 1:14	I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
1Corinthians 1:15	Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
1Corinthians 1:16	And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
1Corinthians 1:17	For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1Corinthians 1:18	For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1Corinthians 1:19	For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1Corinthians 1:20	Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Corinthians 1:21	For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Corinthians 1:22	For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Corinthians 1:23	But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Corinthians 1:24	But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1Corinthians 1:25	Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1Corinthians 1:26	For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Corinthians 1:27	But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Corinthians 1:28	And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Corinthians 1:29	That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1Corinthians 1:30	But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Corinthians 1:31	That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

	Mark 4
Mark 4:1	And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
Mark 4:2	And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
Mark 4:3	Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
Mark 4:4	And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
Mark 4:5	And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
Mark 4:6	But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
Mark 4:7	And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Mark 4:8	And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
Mark 4:9	And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 4:10	And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
Mark 4:11	And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mark 4:12	That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Mark 4:13	And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
Mark 4:14	The sower soweth the word.
Mark 4:15	And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Mark 4:16	And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
Mark 4:17	And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
Mark 4:18	And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mark 4:19	And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mark 4:20	And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
Mark 4:21	And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
Mark 4:22	For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
Mark 4:23	If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 4:24	And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Mark 4:25	For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
Mark 4:26	And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
Mark 4:27	And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
Mark 4:28	For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Mark 4:29	But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Mark 4:30	And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Mark 4:31	It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
Mark 4:32	But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Mark 4:33	And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
Mark 4:34	But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Mark 4:35	And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Mark 4:36	And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Mark 4:37	And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Mark 4:38	And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mark 4:39	And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:40	And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 4:41	And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
