	1Samuel 18
1Samuel 18:1	And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
1Samuel 18:2	And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house.
1Samuel 18:3	Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
1Samuel 18:4	And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
1Samuel 18:5	And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.
1Samuel 18:6	And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music.
1Samuel 18:7	And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
1Samuel 18:8	And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?
1Samuel 18:9	And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.
1Samuel 18:10	And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.
1Samuel 18:11	And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.
1Samuel 18:12	And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.
1Samuel 18:13	Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
1Samuel 18:14	And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.
1Samuel 18:15	Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.
1Samuel 18:16	But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
1Samuel 18:17	And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight the LORD’S battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.
1Samuel 18:18	And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
1Samuel 18:19	But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul’s daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
1Samuel 18:20	And Michal Saul’s daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
1Samuel 18:21	And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain.
1Samuel 18:22	And Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the king’s son in law.
1Samuel 18:23	And Saul’s servants spake those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king’s son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?
1Samuel 18:24	And the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner spake David.
1Samuel 18:25	And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king’s enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
1Samuel 18:26	And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son in law: and the days were not expired.
1Samuel 18:27	Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king’s son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.
1Samuel 18:28	And Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David, and that Michal Saul’s daughter loved him.
1Samuel 18:29	And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David’s enemy continually.
1Samuel 18:30	Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.

	Proverbs 12
Proverbs 12:1	Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
Proverbs 12:2	A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
Proverbs 12:3	A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
Proverbs 12:4	A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
Proverbs 12:5	The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
Proverbs 12:6	The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
Proverbs 12:7	The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
Proverbs 12:8	A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
Proverbs 12:9	He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
Proverbs 12:10	A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
Proverbs 12:11	He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
Proverbs 12:12	The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
Proverbs 12:13	The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
Proverbs 12:14	A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
Proverbs 12:15	The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Proverbs 12:16	A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
Proverbs 12:17	He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
Proverbs 12:18	There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
Proverbs 12:19	The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Proverbs 12:20	Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Proverbs 12:21	There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
Proverbs 12:22	Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Proverbs 12:23	A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
Proverbs 12:24	The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Proverbs 12:25	Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Proverbs 12:26	The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
Proverbs 12:27	The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
Proverbs 12:28	In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

	1Corinthians 7
1Corinthians 7:1	Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1Corinthians 7:2	Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1Corinthians 7:3	Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
1Corinthians 7:4	The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
1Corinthians 7:5	Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
1Corinthians 7:6	But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
1Corinthians 7:7	For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
1Corinthians 7:8	I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
1Corinthians 7:9	But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
1Corinthians 7:10	And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
1Corinthians 7:11	But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
1Corinthians 7:12	But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
1Corinthians 7:13	And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
1Corinthians 7:14	For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
1Corinthians 7:15	But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
1Corinthians 7:16	For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
1Corinthians 7:17	But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
1Corinthians 7:18	Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
1Corinthians 7:19	Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
1Corinthians 7:20	Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
1Corinthians 7:21	Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
1Corinthians 7:22	For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
1Corinthians 7:23	Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
1Corinthians 7:24	Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
1Corinthians 7:25	Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
1Corinthians 7:26	I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
1Corinthians 7:27	Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
1Corinthians 7:28	But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
1Corinthians 7:29	But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
1Corinthians 7:30	And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
1Corinthians 7:31	And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
1Corinthians 7:32	But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
1Corinthians 7:33	But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
1Corinthians 7:34	There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
1Corinthians 7:35	And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
1Corinthians 7:36	But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
1Corinthians 7:37	Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
1Corinthians 7:38	So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
1Corinthians 7:39	The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
1Corinthians 7:40	But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

	Mark 10
Mark 10:1	And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
Mark 10:2	And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
Mark 10:3	And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
Mark 10:4	And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
Mark 10:5	And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
Mark 10:6	But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Mark 10:7	For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
Mark 10:8	And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
Mark 10:9	What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Mark 10:10	And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
Mark 10:11	And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
Mark 10:12	And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
Mark 10:13	And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
Mark 10:14	But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:15	Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Mark 10:16	And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Mark 10:17	And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Mark 10:18	And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
Mark 10:19	Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
Mark 10:20	And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
Mark 10:21	Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Mark 10:22	And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
Mark 10:23	And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24	And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:25	It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:26	And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
Mark 10:27	And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:28	Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
Mark 10:29	And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
Mark 10:30	But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Mark 10:31	But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
Mark 10:32	And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,
Mark 10:33	Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
Mark 10:34	And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
Mark 10:35	And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
Mark 10:36	And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
Mark 10:37	They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
Mark 10:38	But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
Mark 10:39	And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
Mark 10:40	But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
Mark 10:41	And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
Mark 10:42	But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
Mark 10:43	But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
Mark 10:44	And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
Mark 10:45	For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mark 10:46	And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
Mark 10:47	And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Mark 10:48	And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Mark 10:49	And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
Mark 10:50	And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:51	And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
Mark 10:52	And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
