	1Samuel 22
1Samuel 22:1	David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
1Samuel 22:2	And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
1Samuel 22:3	And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
1Samuel 22:4	And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
1Samuel 22:5	And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
1Samuel 22:6	When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)
1Samuel 22:7	Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;
1Samuel 22:8	That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
1Samuel 22:9	Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
1Samuel 22:10	And he inquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
1Samuel 22:11	Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
1Samuel 22:12	And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.
1Samuel 22:13	And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
1Samuel 22:14	Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
1Samuel 22:15	Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
1Samuel 22:16	And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
1Samuel 22:17	And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
1Samuel 22:18	And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.
1Samuel 22:19	And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
1Samuel 22:20	And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.
1Samuel 22:21	And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD’S priests.
1Samuel 22:22	And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house.
1Samuel 22:23	Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.

	Proverbs 16
Proverbs 16:1	The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
Proverbs 16:2	All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Proverbs 16:3	Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:4	The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Proverbs 16:5	Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 16:6	By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Proverbs 16:7	When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:8	Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
Proverbs 16:9	A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:10	A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
Proverbs 16:11	A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all the weights of the bag are his work.
Proverbs 16:12	It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
Proverbs 16:13	Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
Proverbs 16:14	The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
Proverbs 16:15	In the light of the king’s countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
Proverbs 16:16	How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
Proverbs 16:17	The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
Proverbs 16:18	Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:19	Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Proverbs 16:20	He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
Proverbs 16:21	The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
Proverbs 16:22	Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Proverbs 16:23	The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
Proverbs 16:24	Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Proverbs 16:25	There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:26	He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
Proverbs 16:27	An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
Proverbs 16:28	A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
Proverbs 16:29	A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
Proverbs 16:30	He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
Proverbs 16:31	The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
Proverbs 16:32	He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs 16:33	The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

	1Corinthians 11
1Corinthians 11:1	Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1Corinthians 11:2	Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
1Corinthians 11:3	But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1Corinthians 11:4	Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
1Corinthians 11:5	But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1Corinthians 11:6	For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1Corinthians 11:7	For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
1Corinthians 11:8	For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
1Corinthians 11:9	Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
1Corinthians 11:10	For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
1Corinthians 11:11	Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1Corinthians 11:12	For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
1Corinthians 11:13	Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1Corinthians 11:14	Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Corinthians 11:15	But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1Corinthians 11:16	But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
1Corinthians 11:17	Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
1Corinthians 11:18	For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
1Corinthians 11:19	For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
1Corinthians 11:20	When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
1Corinthians 11:21	For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
1Corinthians 11:22	What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
1Corinthians 11:23	For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1Corinthians 11:24	And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Corinthians 11:25	After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Corinthians 11:26	For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
1Corinthians 11:27	Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1Corinthians 11:28	But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Corinthians 11:29	For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
1Corinthians 11:30	For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
1Corinthians 11:31	For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Corinthians 11:32	But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
1Corinthians 11:33	Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
1Corinthians 11:34	And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

	Mark 14
Mark 14:1	After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
Mark 14:2	But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
Mark 14:3	And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
Mark 14:4	And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
Mark 14:5	For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
Mark 14:6	And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
Mark 14:7	For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
Mark 14:8	She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Mark 14:9	Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
Mark 14:10	And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
Mark 14:11	And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
Mark 14:12	And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
Mark 14:13	And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
Mark 14:14	And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
Mark 14:15	And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
Mark 14:16	And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Mark 14:17	And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
Mark 14:18	And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
Mark 14:19	And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
Mark 14:20	And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
Mark 14:21	The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
Mark 14:22	And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
Mark 14:23	And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
Mark 14:24	And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Mark 14:25	Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Mark 14:26	And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Mark 14:27	And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
Mark 14:28	But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Mark 14:29	But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
Mark 14:30	And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Mark 14:31	But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
Mark 14:32	And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
Mark 14:33	And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
Mark 14:34	And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
Mark 14:35	And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
Mark 14:36	And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Mark 14:37	And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
Mark 14:38	Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Mark 14:39	And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
Mark 14:40	And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
Mark 14:41	And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Mark 14:42	Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
Mark 14:43	And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Mark 14:44	And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
Mark 14:45	And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
Mark 14:46	And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
Mark 14:47	And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
Mark 14:48	And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
Mark 14:49	I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Mark 14:50	And they all forsook him, and fled.
Mark 14:51	And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
Mark 14:52	And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
Mark 14:53	And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
Mark 14:54	And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
Mark 14:55	And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
Mark 14:56	For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Mark 14:57	And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Mark 14:58	We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
Mark 14:59	But neither so did their witness agree together.
Mark 14:60	And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
Mark 14:61	But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Mark 14:62	And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Mark 14:63	Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
Mark 14:64	Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
Mark 14:65	And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Mark 14:66	And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
Mark 14:67	And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
Mark 14:68	But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
Mark 14:69	And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
Mark 14:70	And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
Mark 14:71	But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
Mark 14:72	And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
